Forward Helix Ear Piercing Pain Healing and Jewellery

Forward Helix Ear Piercing: Pain,Healing and Jewellery

In this article, I’m sharing my forward helix ear piercing experience story time, including the pain level, how it’s been healing, and some cute new cartilage earrings I picked up. I hope you enjoy my personal content alongside the fashion, lifestyle.

Getting My Forward Helix Piercing

I got my forward helix piercing in mid-December, so it’s been about two months. That’s a good amount of time to share how the forward helix healing time has been and give you an honest update on this cartilage piercing.

Forward Helix Piercing Pain Level Compared to Other Piercings

On the pain scale, I rate the forward helix piercing pain level as a 2 out of 5. It honestly wasn’t that bad. It stung a little bit, but most cartilage piercings do sting. This one was really not that bad compared to my other ear piercings.

The piercings that hurt the most were my conch and my septum. My conch hurt because the cartilage is so thick in that area. When I got my septum in college, it affected my lips—they felt tingly and a little numb. That one hurt.

My daith didn’t hurt at all and pierced really nicely. It healed really nicely too. My rook wasn’t that bad, but it did take a while to heal. My tragus didn’t really hurt, but it took a long time to heal. I kept getting bumps that would go away and then come back.

The forward helix pain was minimal—just a tiny sting. The earring is not too long, so it doesn’t bother me. It hasn’t gotten any keloids or pus-filled bumps. It’s been healing quite nicely.

How to Clean a Forward Helix Piercing

I clean my forward helix piercing in the morning and at night with Himalayan salt water and filtered water. It’s just my own solution, and I find that this cartilage piercing aftercare routine works best for my ears. Natural filtered salt water is very effective for ear piercing cleaning.

The piercing has been a little sensitive and a little inflamed, but nothing concerning. I think the forward helix is very cute. However, I did cut my sideburns in this area because I had so much thick hair covering it. I started trimming higher up because I couldn’t see my piercing. What’s the point of getting a piercing if you can’t see it?

My Ear Piercing Setup

I feel like I’m almost running out of real estate on my ears. I don’t want to get too many piercings, even though the 11 or 12 piercings I have might seem like a lot to some people. I think it’s balanced really nicely. I might be missing one more mid-helix piercing on this ear.

Cartilage Piercing Jewelry from Titaniumearrings

Now let me go over what I got from titaniumearrings.shop. They were having a sale, and their piercing jewelry usually ranges from $20 to $40 per earring. That’s quite a lot considering these are tiny earrings that aren’t real gold—they’re gold plated.

The quality is still decent. They won’t irritate your skin, but I saw they were having a sale on micro huggies. I got two of them for about $16 each.

Micro Huggies for Rook and Tragus

I got the CZ Flower Helix Huggy in gold with clear crystals. I put one micro huggy in my rook piercing, and it worked out perfectly because it’s so small. It’s not a big chunky heavy earring on the rook.

I got the same one for my tragus piercing because it has a cute little diamond flowery detail at the top. I think it looks really cute. This is a very different look for rook piercing jewelry because usually it’s just a bar.

I also got the Micro Pave Helix Huggy in gold with clear crystals. The tiny huggy is for my daith. It’s a tiny bit bigger than the rook huggy. I just needed the smallest micro one they had. It has a cute little crystal detail, though I wish it went all around because you can’t really see it from this angle. The daith lays flat, so the decoration isn’t always visible.

Other Cartilage Piercing Jewelry

I also needed a huggy for my daith. This one was $22, which I think is kind of pricey for such a tiny piece. When I went to my piercer, I told him I was getting jewelry from Studs because he asked where I bought it. The designs are trendy and work well for cartilage piercings like the helix, rook, and tragus.

I needed to reach a certain dollar amount to get a free gift, so I looked for the cheapest item. I found a little peace sign charm for $9. It’s not an earring—it’s a charm you can put on any earring or hoop. I attached it to my palm tree stud. The palm tree matches Jamaica, where I’m going to travel, and the peace sign is just super cute.

I got a free gift added to my order—an XO stud that retails for $22. I put it in my conch. I also have my initials J and M for Jasmil Melissa in another piercing.

I have a “love” charm attached to a chain. I’ve had to clean these gold cartilage earrings two times. I think it’s good practice to touch up your earrings and clean them every month or two with alcohol and soap to get rid of all the buildup.

I love my jewelry, my decor, and my best cartilage earrings collection. That’s pretty much it.
